Fantasy Football Tips

Article by Isaac Remponi

The most essential thing in your fantasy football league is the draft. If you don’t pick your players carefully, you have a very little chance of winning. However, if you draft with perfection, you will have a better chance of winning. It depends on whether you draft the player with the best value or the player at the position you need. For example, you have 1 RB and 4 WR on the team so far. You see that the great WR is available but the truth is, he would be no help to your team because the you will only need 3WR to start. You could get the WR just in case of injury or you could trade the player.

Here are my five proven fantasy football tips:

1) Never miss the draft because if you do, the computer will be the one who will picks your players based on their predetermined rankings. This means you opponents can predict your picks which is a big advantage to them. When drafting in fantasy football, the first key thing to know is what your line-up looks like in the league. Many leagues offer flex positions that can be both a wide receiver or a running back, but some don’t, and this can have a huge effect when it comes down to draft day. So take note of what your line-up offers and try and draft a team that reflects the positions that your league gives priority to.

2) Be active. If you don’t make trades, you can never get the balance you will need at midseason.

3) Look at the scoring system of the league. What position does it favor? Default setting are usually 50 pass yard = 1 point, 20 rush or receiving = 1 points, and touchdowns worth 6 points. This favors running backs and is a disadvantage to quarterbacks. However other settings could favor QBs. So this means you don’t draft players the same way for every league.

4) Make sure you have a quality bench. When you have weeks with a lot of players with bye weeks, then you’ll likely lose if you don’t have a quality bench. If you have a bench to plug in you’ll rack up some essential wins.

5) Never give up even if you’re in last place after a few weeks, some wins can get you back in the race. Regular seasons don’t normally matter. Making the playoffs in the last position is basically the same as making the payoffs in the first place. A standard league has 10-12 teams with the top 4-6 qualifying playoffs.

These fantasy football tips will not guarantee your wins but they will help. Team these up with the stats and information available at http://www.fantasyfactor.com and you will be sure to have a successful fantasy season.
